Monitoring is about keeping local policies on track and focussed on agreed objectives.
Each year the Council has to monitor its perfomance and the progress made towards delivering the development objectives set out in the Local Development Plan and Local Development Framework.
The Government requires Councils to produce an Annual
Monitoring Report (AMR) covering the year to March 31 and
to submit it by the end of that calendar year.
Southwark Council has submitted its second Annual
Monitoring Report to the Secretary of State on December
31st, 2006. This report covers the period from April 2005
to March 2006.
Consultation on the Annual Monitoring Report is now
closed. The draft document has been available for public
comments for a period of 6 weeks (13 September - 27
October).
The Willowbrook Centre has organised a training workshop on the AMR on
September 19, 2006.
