The consultation on the modifications to the Southwark Plan is now closed
For the past six weeks, modifications to the Southwark UDP have been available for public consultation. These modifications where based on recommendations the Planning Inspector made after reviewing the UDP. The Council is not bound to accept and include all recommendations but can chose what to accept or refuse.
The full list of recommendations made, if they have been accepted or not, and a copy of the modified Southwark UDP are available at Southwark Planning Policy website.

What happens next?
The Council will consider all representations submitted and prepare a final version of the plan. Objections received at this stage could lead to a further public inquiry if the representations raise issues that were not fully considered during the inquiry that has taken place in April to July 2005. If no further public inquiry is necessary the final version of the plan will go to Southwark Planning Committee, Executive and Council Assembly for adoption.
