Statement of Community Involvement: Public Inquiry in May 2007
Southwark Council has published the new timetable for the examination in public of the SCI.
After two years of drafting and consultation, Southwark's SCI was submitted to the Secretary of State on May 12 2006 for independent examination.
With advice from the planning inspectorate the following timetable is now suggested for the process of adopting the SCI:
- Examination in public - May 2007. This will be held by the planning inspectorate on behalf of the council to consider any representations where the objector requires an Examination in Public.
- Inspector's report - June 2007. This will be binding for the council so the council will have to make any changes suggested
- Adoption of the SCI - July 2007. The council will need to consider the final document and adopt or agree it.
