Just over a year ago we started our BME planning project, funded by Southwark Council with the aim of increasing BME involvement in planning including responses to planning applications and other consultations. So far we have trained 30 people and attended a number of focus group. Our previous meeting was held on May 30th, 2006 at InSpire and was attended by over 15 people from different BME groups across the Borough.
Our next Planning Network meeting is on September 28th 2006, from 7 to 9pm at Inspire, the Crypt at St Peter's, Liverpool Grove, SE17 2HH.
